    Great American’s Accident & Health (A&H) startup division in Charlottesville, VA is looking for an experienced Product Manager to help launch our digital operational platform. This individual will own the relationship with our software vendor and corporate IT, and continuously research new technologies and market trends to implement and align with customer preferences.


    • Collaborate with A&H team to define products and digital processes, then own and drive platform strategy and implementation
    • Responsible for the platform as well as all integrations and services that interact with the platform
    • Develop an understanding of the A&H business, be a leader on a small team, research new technologies and identify the trends and opportunities in that space
    • Drive and develop product requirements, design and prototyping process to discover customer problems and create valuable, desirable and feasible solutions
    • Articulate and test product hypotheses
    • Experience articulating and testing product hypotheses
    • Get things done in a rapidly changing environment
    • Work with the team to produce a clear vision for Lean Startup and Minimum Viable Products
    • Collaboratively define and prioritize a backlog for your product that continuously delivers measurable value towards the vision
    • Help innovate and iterate on product and platform processes and share insights
    • Actively engage customers and business partners through attractive, fast, and easy-to-use digital platform interactions


    • Experience handling the implementation and operation of an enterprise platform
    • Able to breakdown complex problems into simple solutions focused on important customer needs
    • Strong leadership and communication skills and the ability to teach others
    • Ability to work collaboratively with others and navigate complex decision making
    • Focused on data-driven approaches to solving problems, and accelerating the learning process to validate solutions
    • Ability to collaborate well with engineers, designers, and other partners
    • Experience or knowledge of with Lean and User-Centered Design methodologies
    • Understanding of the IT operations or software development space with a passion for understanding the life of Enterprise IT Operators and Application Developers
    • Knowledge of policy administration systems, claims systems, insurance systems or platforms is a plus
