    The Professional Liability Division offers non-medical service providers protection from claims alleging an act, error or omission by the firm, its staff, or contractors working on its behalf.


    The Professional Liability Division is currently searching for a Financial Products Divisional Claims Examiner.  This position will be based out of our Exton, PA office. 


    • Investigate, evaluate, and resolve claims of varying complexity and severity;
    • Draft coverage position letters;
    • Manage litigation; attend mediations, arbitrations, depositions, and trials as necessary;
    • Responsible for maintaining cost controls and overseeing the work of outside counsel;
    • Set reserves within prescribed authority and submit written recommendations for reserves outside authority;
    • Frequent interaction with senior management, Corporate Claims, and others, will be required;
    • Comply with applicable company procedures and policies, statutes, regulations, and other legal requirements governing claims handling;
    • Assist in policy drafting / product development and coverage inquiries from underwriters and producers;
    • As directed, may assist Underwriting, Marketing, Risk Management and Loss Prevention with projects, including evaluating potential new business.
    • Maintain necessary adjuster licenses, including completing required continuing education;
    • Perform other duties as assigned.


    • 3 plus years of related experience. May possess LLM (Master's of Law) or JD (Juris Doctorate) and current attorney license with 3 to 5 years of post-bar claims handling experience.
    • Must be open to 10-15% travel, including some overnight travel as needed.
    • Works on moderate to highly complex assignments requiring specialized knowledge in breadth and / or depth within Professional Liability claims.
