    This position consists of defining and planning solution architectures for multiple insurance products utilizing the Insurity (Oceanwide) Bridge platform.  Duties include:

    • Has responsibility for analyzing and translating business, information and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint that outlines solutions to achieve business objectives.
    • Designs and develops new software products or major enhancements to existing software. Documents development requirements for multiple system components (i.e., database, applications, operations, system environments, etc.).
    • Develops enterprise level solutions that integrate across applications, systems and platforms.
    • Recommends appropriate strategic actions. Assesses the business and organizational implications of key applications technology alternatives for wide-impact initiatives.
    • Participates in the design, development, testing, debugging, maintaining and documenting of system components and solutions.
    • Provides expertise and standards to produce an optimal, high level, conceptual design for projects.
    • Identifies, analyzes and resolves problems relating to systems integration, compatibility and multiple platforms.
    • Solves highly technical and complex problems on multiple projects and provides consultative support to internal staff.
    • Assists project teams in requirements gathering and reviews. Facilitates information gathering sessions and provides solutions analysis services.
    • Researches, evaluates and recommends new technologies, techniques or solutions to solve business problems.
    • Exhibits specialized business knowledge and leverages strong customer relationships.
    • May have responsibility for performance and coaching of staff and may have a participatory role in decisions regarding talent selection, development, and performance management for direct reports.
    • Contributes to the development of project plans and timelines.
    • Makes delivery of shippable code a priority, and marshals the organization towards that goal.


    Technical Skills:

    • Experience with developing Bridge System Designs preferred
    • Experience with supporting Bridge for multiple lines of business preferred
    • Experience with integration to external systems and services to and from Policy Admin System
    • Completion of Bridge Specialty Self-Configuring Plan
    • Certified Insurity (Oceanwide) Bridge Implementation Specialist a plus
    • Experience with other P&C Policy Admin Systems a plus
    • Languages: C#, JavaScript, Java, HTML5, CSS3, XML, XSL
    • Databases: Microsoft SQL Server (Stored Procedures, SSIS) or Oracle
    • IDE: Visual Studio or IntelliJ/Eclipse
    • Scripting: jQuery, JavaScript, HTML Document Object Model
    • Web/Application Servers: Apache, WebLogic, Tomcat
    • Frameworks: Spring, Angular, React, or other similar frameworks
    • Experience with source code versioning and change management practices
    • Familiarity with Microservice architecture a plus
    • Familiarity with XP a plus

    • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment


    • Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline or equivalent experience.
