    Corporate Claims is currently seeking a Claim Representative, Senior Claim Representative, or Claim Specialist to join the Reinsurance Claims department located in Cincinnati, Ohio. We are looking for a self-starter with excellent written and verbal communication skills. The successful candidate will interact closely with internal claim adjusters as well as reinsurance and broker representatives.  We are looking for a personable and professional individual to represent the company and our department. 


    The job grade will be commensurate with the years of experience and skill level of the candidate hired for the position. 


    This individual will be part of a team responsible for the daily reporting, billing, and monitoring of ceded reinsurance claims, which includes:

    • Evaluating reinsurance coverage.
    • Acting as intermediary between internal claim adjusters and representatives of external reinsurers or brokers.
    • Documenting and maintaining records necessary for proper claim follow up.
    • Facilitating claim reviews by reinsurers.
    • Performing other duties as assigned.

    The Reinsurance Claims department continues to push the use of available technology to improve the speed and accuracy of reinsurance notification and calculation.  We, therefore, seek an individual with information technology aptitude.  The opportunity to move into an ever expanding technical role is available to a promising candidate.


    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
    • Direct claim handling or reinsurance experience preferred.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Ability to build and maintain productive business relationships.
    • A self-starter with a willingness and ability to cross train in and understand multiple lines of business.
    • Detail oriented and strong organizational skills.
    • Experience or advanced aptitude in Information Technology to include proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel) and an ability to adapt to the use of various company systems.
