The Information Research Center (IRC) is looking for a dynamic research professional to join its team.

    Responsibilities

    • Serve as team lead for data, analytics and data visualization needs.
    • Create and oversee the development of data products and data catalogs.
    • Build dashboards to facilitate organizational access to information necessary for business decisions.
    • Proactively recommend tools and techniques to support the collection and dissemination of information and analysis within the company.
    • Work with internal business partners to identify, acquire, manage and analyze data and electronic content to meet time sensitive research projects.
    • Identify, monitor, analyze and disseminate information on emerging trends, strategic companies, markets and industries to support diverse business units.
    • Assist in the management of a portfolio of third party data services.
    • Identify and interpret trends and patterns leveraging third party data relevant to our lines of business for analytics based projects.

    Qualifications

    • BA/BS Required. Masters preferred.
    • Experience in the insurance industry is preferred.
    • Research experience.
    • Prior work experience in business intelligence type function a plus.
    • Minimum 5 years of experience.
    • Critical thinking skills and strong business acumen.
    • Strong technical skills, including familiarity with BI systems like Tableau.
    • Processing and analyzing data, including unstructured data
    • Experience with third party data sources and contract management.
    • Experience understanding customer needs and developing creative solutions to meet those needs.
    • Ability to work well in a collaborative, team-based environment and independently, as required.
    • Detail-oriented and able to balance and prioritize multiple responsibilities at one time.
    • Effectively adapts to changes in data requirements and evolving project plans.
    • Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
