    The ECA Division provides an affordable alternative to Texas Workers' Compensation coverage via the Texas non-subscriber program. ECA has successfully developed and managed the leading non-subscription program in Texas. 

     

    ECA is currently searching for a Claim Specialist for our office in Frisco.    

    Responsibilities

    • Reviews, investigates and evaluates coverage and liability of varying complexity and severity.
    • Drafts coverage position letters with moderate supervision.
    • Manages litigation; attends mediations, arbitrations, depositions, and trials as necessary.
    • Sets reserves within prescribed authority and submits written recommendations for reserves outside authority.
    • Demonstrates excellent judgment in the evaluation and handling of claims.
    • Conveys complex information to all appropriate parties, maintaining a professional demeanor in all situations.
    • Complies with applicable company procedures and policies, statutes, regulations, and other legal requirements governing claims handling.
    • Responds to inquiries from underwriters and producers.
    • Maintains necessary adjuster licenses, including completing required continuing education.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • 5 or more years of related experience  in general liability investigations, evaluations and accompanying litigation is preferred. 
    • Bodily injury claims experience and advanced coverage analysis experience is required.
    • Ability to manage outside legal counsel, vendors and experts as necessary.
    • Detail oriented and strong organizational skills.
    • Exceptional customer service skills.
    • Demonstrates strong written, verbal and effective listening skills.
    • Significant experience working with Microsoft Office applications and electronic claim files is required.
    • Must be open to travel, including overnight travel as needed.
    • Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience and/or training.
