    Our Annuity IT team is looking for an experienced C# developer to join our Pega Scrum Team.

    Responsibilities

    • Able to take high-level design specifications and develop detailed design specifications to develop a process.
    • Design, code, test and document new programs, services, components, and utilities developed.
    • Consult with users and IT Professionals in developing new processes.
    • Contributes to the development of project plan and timeline.
    • Provide estimates for planned work.
    • Develop test plans for new software developed.
    • Establish an open relationship with customers, teammates and other members of the IT organization.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

     

    Expectations:

    • Complete assigned tasks as directed in a timely manner using solid object oriented coding practices and standards.
    • Unit test code for proper functionality.
    • Code thoroughly commented and documented.
    • Follow the established standards, patterns, and processes.
    • Document and communicate to team for knowledge transfer to others responsible for supporting and maintaining new solution.
    • Manage technical implementation tasks to ensure work is delivered on time and within budget.
    • Effectively troubleshot technical issues as they arise.

    Qualifications

     Technical Skills:

    • C#, MVC, Web API, XML, Web Services, WCF
    • Automated build/deploys
    • Microsoft SQL Server (Relational Database Concepts, Stored Procedures)
    • JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
    • Visual Studio, Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS).
    • Understanding of PEGA software and experience in Pega development a plus. 

    Essential Skills:

    • Experience with object-oriented design and development.
    • Experience with Web Services and integration.
    • Excellent organization and time management skills.
    • Effective written and spoken communication skills.
    • Very strong analytical and problem solving skills.
    • Ability to perform in a challenging but collaborative work environment with individuals from across the organization. 
    • Ability to integrate multiple concepts across job functions with goal of overall benefit to the organization. 
    • Ability to communicate, develop and leverage strategic business relationships across the organization and externally.
    • Self-motivated team player who excels in a collaborative environment.  Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills. 
    • Experience in the insurance/annuity industry a plus. 

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
    • Field of Study: Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline
