    Our Executive Liability Division underwrites Directors’ and Officers’ Liability Insurance, Employment Practices Liability Insurance, and Fiduciary Liability Insurance for public, private and not for profit companies. 

     

    The Executive Liability Division is searching for a Claim Representative for our Schaumburg, IL office. 

    Responsibilities

    As a member of our Claims Department, you will be responsible for handling a group of claim files.  You will be required to:

    • Investigate and maintain claim files;
    • Review and evaluate coverage and / or liability;
    • Secure and analyze necessary information (i.e., reports, policies, appraisals, releases, statements, reports or other documents) in the investigation of claims;
    • Work toward the resolution of claim files;
    • Set reserves within prescribed limits and submit recommendations to supervisor on cases exceeding personal authority;
    • Convey moderately complex information (coverage, decisions, outcomes, etc.) to all appropriate parties, maintaining a professional demeanor in all situations;
    • Ensure claim payments are issued in a timely and accurate manner;
    • Ensure claim handling is conducted in compliance with applicable statutes, regulations and other legal requirements and that all applicable company procedures and policies are followed; and
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • 6 months to 3 years of claims handling experience. Coverage analysis experience is a plus;
    • Bachelor’s or Paralegal degree is a plus, or equivalent work experience;
    • Detail oriented and strong organizational skills;
    • Exceptional customer service skills;
    • Strong written, verbal and listening skills; and
    • Significant experience working with Microsoft Office applications and electronic claim files is required.
