    Our Crop Division is looking for a Territory Manager in our Fresno, CA office.

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for the delivery of services of the Underwriting, Marketing, Customer Service, Operations and / or Claims areas to support achieving production, service and profit goals for the department.
    • As appropriate for line of business:
    • Ensures that effective business relationships with internal and external customers / coworkers are developed and maintained in order to attract and retain profitable business.
    • Has responsibility for developing productive agency plants / territories.
    • Ensures the provision of excellent customer service. Develops and monitors management reports on service levels, activity and customer experience. Develops methods to improve customer service and satisfaction.
    • May contribute to product development of new or enhanced insurance products / services and developing / executing strategic plans for entry into new markets.
    • Administers, applies insurance laws and regulations and administers, applies and may update underwriting rules and guidelines and rating manual rules.
    • Analyzes quality and quantity of risks underwritten and / or production, product sold, persistency and prepares reports to communicate this information.
    • Has responsibility for the appearance and maintenance of corporate facilities / offices in assigned territories. Coordinates with vendors, contractors and / or corporate Real Estate and Facilities for all routine maintenance, repairs or modifications.
    • Ensures the department or functional area meets policies and practices. Aligns unit with business objectives.
    • Participates in planning goals, plans strategies and operating methodologies. Ensures that the unit meets budget and performance targets.
    • Has responsibility for the performance, development and coaching of staff (hiring, firing, performance management, pay increases, etc.). Ensures new members of the team / unit receive training.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
    Field of Study: Liberal Arts, Business, Marketing /Sales or a related discipline
    Experience: 8 or more years of related experience, including 2 to 4 years prior supervisory experience. Certification in area of expertise required; appropriate certifications could include Associate in Underwriting (AU), Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), Program in General Insurance (INS) or Associate of Risk Management (ARM).
