    The Bond Division is currently searching for a Service Associate III or IV in our Maitland, FL location.


    The job title and salary grade will commensurate with the person's level of experience.  


    • Receives processing requests from underwriters and agents
    • Corresponds with underwriters and agents as needed.
    • Reviews and processes new business, renewals, riders, BORs and mid-term cancellations.
    • Computes premiums on bond renewals, riders and / or cancellations / reinstatements based on proper rate selection, rules and company procedures.
    • Sets up accounts in underwriting systems
    • Ensures accuracy of billings and documentation into appropriate GAIC surety bond processing systems (i.e., Excel / Word programs, legacy systems, internal systems, third party vendor delivered systems, etc.).
    • Reviews and requests prior term adjustments from IT and Processes corrections to bonds requiring multiple transactions.
    • Manages Daily Error Report for assigned Profit Center(s).
    • Researches and resolves and / or corrects errors and / or issues. Researches and reconciles premium / billing accounting discrepancies. Responds to premium / billing questions.
    • Shares and / or conveys the most highly complex information to underwriters, agents, and brokers while maintaining a professional demeanor in all situations.
    • Participates helps coordinate departmental processes / special projects
    • Performs other duties as assigned.


    • Minimum of 3 years of surety processing experience.
    • Associates Degree (or equivalent work experience)
    • Possess a high and extensive level of surety administration knowledge and skills
    • Frequent interaction with underwriters, agents and brokers so strong customer service skills are essential to this position.
    • Must be a highly effective communicator; both verbally and in writing. Able to communicate effectively with people at all levels from across the organization and with external contacts. 
    • Must be skilled at establishing and adjusting priorities as needed.
    • Strong time management skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
    • Intermediate to advanced skills with MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook, as well as the ability to learn proprietary software.
    • May be required to travel less than 10% of the time to visit field offices. This includes some overnight travel as needed.
