    Responsible for executing strategy and direction of technology to meet business requirements:

    • Makes recommendations and ensures effective implementation of changes to work methods and procedures
    • Accountable for performance, development and coaching of staff (i.e. hiring, firing, performance management, salary increases, etc.). Ensures the department has a sufficient number of trained staff to provide necessary levels of service and achieve department performance results.
    • Help set direction and lead the IT organization of the Property & Casualty Group.
    • Ensures business and IT are in alignment by linking business mission / strategy to IT strategy
    • Ensures current and future business needs will be met in an efficient, sustainable and adaptable manner
    • Coordinates across the enterprise to establish common approaches, technologies and processes
    • Analyzes the cost and benefits of Information Technology initiatives that are aligned to business strategies
    • Defines and plans enterprise architectures for enterprise systems
    • Solves highly technical and complex problems on multiple projects and provides consultative support to internal staff
    • Demonstrates specialized knowledge in most aspects of designing and constructing enterprise architectures
    • Works on projects / issues of moderate to high complexity that requires in-depth knowledge across multiple technical areas and business segment
    • Working closely within a data governance framework, sharing the strategic vision for data integration, processing, and delivery with various project teams
    • Acts as a subject matter expert and maintains knowledge of current and emerging data management solutions and technology
    • Cultivates and maintains a successful relationships between Information Technology and business colleagues from various business organizations globally. Actively participate in enterprise-wide change management process for requested system revisions


    • Fundamental understanding of Data Management practices5+ years overall IT application development implementation experience5+ years design and development experience in data warehousing and data management
    • Strong conceptual, relational and dimensional data modeling skills
    • Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
    • Knowledge of modern data architecture concepts including Hadoop and NoSQL, and the handling of non-traditional data types
    • Knowledge of physical design for large-scale enterprise systems
    • Experience developing and leading IT organizations
    • Requires advanced technical and business knowledge in application development practices
    • Strong understanding of application, data and integration architectural domains
    • Experience in Insurance and Financial Services industries recommended
    • Superior organizational leadership skills
    • Integrates multiple concepts across job functions with a goal of overall benefit to the organization.
    • Ability to develop and leverage strategic business relationships across the organization and externally
