    We are currently searching for a Data Analyst to help support the business technology needs of our team. This position is located in our corporate headquarters in downtown Cincinnati, Ohio. The primary functions of this job include extracting and reviewing complex datasets, leading technical engagements with IT business partners, and creating data visualizations using multiple tools and software.


    • Aggregate and analyze data to identify exposure to various risks related to the business
    • Perform data quality analysis to ensure accurate and complete data
    • Manipulate data into standard formats for import into complex third party software
    • Develop process documentation to provide on-going support of data analytics
    • Develop comprehensive knowledge of both business information data sources and business data rules
    • Identify business process improvements by understanding technical problems and solutions as they relate to business needs
    • Support data needs from Business Units, Reinsurers, States, and Rating Agencies
    • Communicate project details and on-going status with all appropriate parties including business units and associated teams
    • Develop reports using Tableau and other tools to facilitate the communication of results to the business
    • Perform other duties as assigned


    Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
    Field of Study: Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Risk Management, or related discipline
    3 or more years of related experience.
    • Firm grasp of data warehouse concepts, including an understanding of front-end data entry and back-end data consumption
    • Ability to read and decipher data models/schema
    • Ability to read and write SQL queries
    • Knowledge of relational database tools (i.e. SQL, Microsoft Access, etc.)
    • Intermediate knowledge in Microsoft Excel
    • Above average oral and written communication and collaboration skills; ability to comfortably communicate with all levels of employees including executive leadership
    • Emotional intelligence when challenged with difficult people and situations
    • Demonstrated ability to establish priorities, organize, and plan work
    • Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
    • Ability to define and lead best practices around process and business analysis tools
    • Knowledge of Commercial Insurance Coverages a plus
    • Experience in communicating business requirements to IT is a plus
    • Experience with Tableau Software a plus
