    The Annuity Group Data Governance Team is looking for a Product Owner to work with our business partners and scrum teams in the Data Management area to deliver solutions that meet data related needs of the organization.  The primary functions of this job include product backlog management, defining and interpreting business requirements, analyzing and validating data, and serving as a liaison between the business users and the data management team.



    • Manage product backlog for assigned scrum team
      • Work with key stakeholders to establish an ordered Product Backlog
      • Ensure backlog items are clearly understood by the Scrum Team
      • Optimize the value of the work delivered by the Development Team
      • Ensure the product backlog is visible, transparent and clear to all stakeholders
      • Identify and assign business value to work in the Product Backlog
      • Provide vision, goals and context related to your product.
      • Ensure the risks/issues are addressed in a clear and transparent manner
    • Serve as a liaison between stakeholders and scrum team.
      • Build strong relationships with business and IT partners.
      • Drive the discovery of high value business value deliverables.
      • Provide stakeholder management of multiple and varying customer stakeholders.
      • Develop and maintain knowledge of customer's business.
      • Serve as a point of escalation for all stakeholders (Business and IT).
    • Capture and document end user requirements for data, reports and analyses, data quality and performance.
    • Perform data analysis and validation.
    • Maintain a deep knowledge of data sources, data environment and relevant business rules.


    • 3 or more years of related experience. Experience in insurance or financial services industry desired.
    • Self-motivated team player who excels in a collaborative environment.
    • Must be comfortable working in an agile development environment. Agile leadership experience with specific background as a Product Owner (PO) or scrum master a plus.
    • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
    • Experience working in a data warehouse environment desired.
    • Experience with relational database tools such as SQL.
    • Proven experience in capturing and documenting user/system requirements.
