    Summit is currently seeking college graduates for our Associate Application Analyst and Developer position in our Home Office in Lakeland, FL. Summit's IT Developer Training Program is designed to develop the fundamental skills required of a successful IT professional, as well as increase business acumen and build customer relationships.     Our Associate Application Developer learns to perform the required analysis, problem solving, and programming to meet the software development needs of the business. Our primary development language for applications is IBM’s RPG ILE. Many Top Fortune 500 companies depend on the stability, scalability, and processing efficiency that is provided by the IBMi platform running the RPG language. A comprehensive training course on the RPG ILE language will be provided during the on boarding process.

    As an Associate Application Analyst and Developer you will:

    • Work collaboratively with technical and business team members to develop and maintain business solutions
    • Adhere to standards for software development with emphasis on test driven development and quality of software
    • Perform maintenance and problem resolution on software applications
    • Provide time estimates for project deliverables
    • Unit test code for proper functionality
    • Participate in team planning activities




    • Completion of Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field; 3.5 preferred GPA
    • Application program development or equivalent in education and/or work experience
    • Understanding of programming logic
    • Experience working with relational databases
    • Strong communication and organizational skills
    • Detail oriented and ability to collaborate in a team environment
