  • Perform extensive secondary research that builds a detailed understanding of a target market, industry, company or opportunity.
  • Organize, summarize, analyze and compile reports to support clients’ research requests.
  • Manage repository of documents and artifacts detailing the company’s history. Maintain policies and set priorities for processing archival collection materials, working collaboratively and responsively with partners across the enterprise.
  • Create and maintain targeted business intelligence newsletters, working directly with user groups to customize the delivery of appropriate information services.
  • Proactively interact with business and functional units to identify and coordinate information needs.
  • Recommend strategy and direction in area(s) of expertise.
  • Maintain an understanding of current information research business trends and actively promotes new ideas internally to drive continuous improvement.
  • Participate in department projects as required.


  • BA/BS required. MLS preferred.
  • 5-10 years of research experience. Previous experience in business and finance research, competitive intelligence or marketing or analytics experience.
  • Proficiency in online research and familiarity with key databases such as LexisNexis, Factiva, Bloomberg, etc.
  • Familiarity with technology and how technology can be utilized to deliver information. Competent user of Microsoft Office. Data visualization experience a plus.
  • Knowledge of insurance or financial services industries a plus.
  • Self-motivated, driven by quest for continuous improvement.
  • Team player and contributor, ability to lead and function cooperatively in a team environment as well as work independently.
  • Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented with the ability to balance and prioritize multiple responsibilities at one time.
  • Familiarity with or experience in business environment.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
