Great American's Trucking Division offers a nationwide program that specializes in insuring the unique exposure of the For Hire Trucker. This progressive program focuses on the owner operator and small fleet markets. We're proud to serve the long haul trucking industry with insurance products, services and exceptional claims handling dedicated to the success of the Owner-Operator. 


The Trucking Division is currently searching for a Claims Processing Technician I / II.  The job grade will be commensurate with the years of experience and skill level of the candidate hired for the position.  The person hired for this position will provide customer service and office support to the Claims Department.   


The hours for this position are Monday - Thursday, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm, Friday 9:00 am - 4:45 pm





  • Performs a variety of complex clerical support duties within a functional group.
  • Provides clerical support to Claim Department by reviewing, researching and analyzing necessary information (i.e., reports, policies, other documents) in the investigation of claims.
  • Answers incoming phone calls for Claims Department, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Performs general processing, mail/file functions, and scanning.
  • Utilizes the company system(s) to identify the appropriate recipient of correspondence within or outside the update.
  • Updates claims files and maintains, corrects and/or updates data using office technology.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


  • Must have excellent customer service skills.
  • 1-5 years of administrative support.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Ability to multi task.
  • Must be proficient with MS Word and Excel.
  • Works will in a team environment.
