  • Performs technical reviews of physical audits completed by the field staff. Examines / audits records to ensure earned premium calculations are accurate.
  • Validates correct classes are applied in accordance with company procedures by reviewing financial records and other relevant materials.
  • Prepares voluntary audits going to insureds and monitors the completeness of incoming voluntary audits. 
  • Interacts with policyholders, agents, and peers to answer questions related to Premium Audit.
  • Reviews results of audits with account managers, underwriters and Premium Audit leadership.
    • Identifies opportunities to resolve discrepancies.
    • Serves as initial audit dispute review. Works to resolve disputed items.
    • Handles and clears bureau inquiries.
  • Communicates with vendors regarding delinquent audits.
  • Prepares management reports and other analysis to ensure the quality and timeliness of audits being received.
  • May perform a small number of telephone audits with clients.
  • Provides effective Customer Service throughout the life cycle of Premium Audit’s functions.
  • Maintains current knowledge of Premium Auditing rules and regulations.
  • May assist in training new employees.
  • May be required to travel up to 15% of the time.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


  • A minimum of 5 years of premium audit experience required.
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline preferred.
  • Preferably working toward, or completion of, certification in the Associates in Premium Audit Program.  Incentive awards available for certification completion.
