Great American Insurance Group – Annuity Information Technology department is currently searching for an Intern for the Desktop Support Team.

 

Responsibilities

Staff the Annuity IT Desktop team, assisting end users with technical support of desktop computers, laptops, applications and related technology. Using the Service Desk software tool; triage and resolve users’ tickets; engage other support groups when appropriate; actively working ticket queue to ensure tickets do not age or breach SLAs; provide end-user follow-up. 

Build and configure desktops/laptops for new hires and PC refresh process.  Follow all established processes for maintaining inventory for Asset Management team.

  • Windows 7 support & Windows 10
  • Microsoft Office Suite(2010/2016)
  • Working knowledge or familiarity with Active Directory
  • Basic Networking
  • Working knowledge or familiarity of Software Deployment tools (SCCM)
  • Mobile device support (Android\iOS\Smartphone\iPad experience)
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Quality research skills to aid in troubleshooting and resolution of user problems.
  • Experience using ticketing systems for incident and request management
  • Knowledge of ITIL

Qualifications

  • Working towards degree in the Information Technology field
  • Available to work part time during spring semester and full time during the summer
  • Highly motivated
  • Strong communication, collaboration and customer service skills
  • Solid problem solving skills
  • Quality focused
